The Angolan composer and performer Pongo, who learned to dance before she could walk, has established herself as a true diva of a mixed and progressive kuduro, renewing the genre by mixing the influences of her African roots with those of the Lisboe clubs, from dancehall to tribal pop. After having been discovered by the Portuguese group Buraka Som Sistema and having travelled the world with them, she took her first solo steps in 2018 and became a true queen of Kuduro. His rhythmic songs, to which one cannot help but dance, will raise winter temperatures!
Leading group on the African hip-hop scene composed of Faada Freddy & Ndongo D, Daara J Family has been defending social and humanist commitment for over 20 years creating a music at the crossroads of traditional African sounds, hip-hop, reggae and philosophical prose. Their new album "Yaamatele" is named after a Senegalese cartoon character who has a television screen instead of a stomach, an allegory of a post-humanized society where technology reigns. The album includes several featurings: with Gaël Faye, the beat maker Kratos from the KinshaSound studio, but also guitarist Mo Kouyaté, and many others.
